How to use whatsapp pay?

Whatsapp is testing a new feature that lets you send digital payments to your family and friends like you would send a photo or file or any other attachment.

If tests go well WhatsApp could roll out the feature to users across the globe. The new feature works off a widely-used digital payments system developed by a UPI (consortium of Indian Banks).

India has the world's largest number of WhatsApp users, with 200 million people using the app daily. If you've linked your bank account to your mobile phone number, you'll now be able to use the messaging application to transfer and receive money.

To use Payments, you should use a phone number with the country code for India and have a bank account with a bank that supports UPI. The phone number you use for the services must be the same phone number linked to your bank account used for Payments.

If you satisfy the necessary pre-conditions and wish to avail the service, search for a 'Payments' tab in the 'Settings' drop-down within the application.

And if you can't find the 'Payments' option, don't fret. There's an easy fix. Just find someone who's activated the payments feature and get them to try and send you funds.

Once you've selected the 'Payments' option, you'll run through a series of steps:
- Add a bank account. The application will then give you the option of adding a new account. You'll be asked to accept the terms and privacy policy of WhatsApp Payments. Please, be sure to go throughOnce you've selected the 'Payments' option, you'll run through a series of steps:

Simply select any one to continue.

The New Rules DL & RC style, Starts on October Month.

Government is set to introduce new driving licences and registration certificates across the country and this is set to give sleepless nights to traffic violators, forgers and other wrongdoers. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has prescribed a common standard format and design of the Driving Licence and the Certificate of Registration for the entire country. A notification to this effect was issued on March 1, 2019. The step has been taken to standardise the documents across all states and prepare a centralised digital repository that can also help in checking forgery and duplication.
The government has decided to get rid of a paper or booklet based driving licences or the registration certificates. Now, these certificates would only be provided in two types of cards: a PVC based card or a Poly Carbonate one. The state governments will have the option to decide on the type of material of the driving licence to be provided.
"The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has prescribed a common standard format and design of the Driving Licence and the Certificate of Registration for the entire country... The option of providing a paper or booklet based driving licence or the registration certificate has been done away with," the ministry said in a release.
The new cards would have a QR code on them which would enable easy linking and access and validation of the information on the cards with the SARATHI or VAHAN database. As the Ministry had recently issued amendments of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules 1989 enabling transport related documents in an Electronic Form, the QR would facilitate the enforcement authorities.
The notification was released days after Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had said that the government is thinking about a law which makes it mandatory to link the Aadhaar card with driving licences. "At present, what happens is that the guilty person who causes an accident flees the scene and gets a duplicate licence. This helps him go scot-free," he had said in January.

What is meaning of SIM?

A SIM card, also known as a subscriber identity module, is a smart car that stores data for GSM cellular telephone subscribers. Such data includes user identity, location and phone number, network authorization data, personal security keys, contact lists and stored text messages. Security features include authentication and encryption to protect data and prevent eavesdropping.

History

The SIM was initially specified by the European Telecommunication Standards Institute  in the specification with the number TS 11.11. This specification describes the physical and logical behaviour of the SIM. With the development of UMTS, the specification work was partially transferred to 3GPP. 3GPP is now responsible for the further development of applications like SIM and USIM and ETSI for the further development of the physical card UICC.
The first SIM card was developed in 1991 by Munich smart-card maker  Giesecke & Devrient , who sold the first 300 SIM cards to the Finnish wireless network operator Radiolinja .
Today, SIM cards are ubiquitous, allowing over 7 billion devices to connect to cellular networks around the world. According to the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA), there were 5.4 billion SIM cards manufactured globally in 2016 creating over $6.5 billion in revenue for traditional SIM card vendors. The rise of cellular IoT and 5G networks is predicted to drive the growth of the addressable market for SIM card manufacturers to over 20 billion cellular devices by 2020.The introduction of Embedded SIM (eSIM) and Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) from the GSMA may disrupt the traditional SIM card ecosystem with the entrance of new players specializing in "digital" SIM card provisioning and other value-added services for mobile network operators

5G Technology Trending On Market.

The 5G mobile cellular communications system provides a far higher level of performance than the previous generations of mobile communications systems.
The new 5G technology is not just the next version of mobile communications, evolving from 1G to 2G, 3G, 4G and now 5G.
The current status of the 5G technology for cellular systems is very much in the early development stages. Very many companies are looking into the technologies that could be used to become part of the system. In addition to this a number of universities have set up 5G research units focussed on developing the technologies for 5G
In addition to this the standards bodies, particularly 3GPP are aware of the development but are not actively planning the 5G systems yet.
Many of the technologies to be used for 5G will start to appear in the systems used for 4G and then as the new 5G cellular system starts to formulate in a more concrete manner, they will be incorporated into the new 5G cellular system.
As the different generations of cellular telecommunications have evolved, each one has brought its own improvements. The same will be true of 5G technology.
  • First generation, 1G:   These phones were analogue and were the first mobile or cellular phones to be used. Although revolutionary in their time they offered very low levels of spectrum efficiency and security.
  • Second generation, 2G:   These were based around digital technology and offered much better spectrum efficiency, security and new features such as text messages and low data rate communications.
  • Third generation, 3G:   The aim of this technology was to provide high speed data. The original technology was enhanced to allow data up to 14 Mbps and more.
  • Fourth generation, 4G:   This was an all-IP based technology capable of providing data rates up to 1 Gbps.
Any new 5th generation, 5G cellular technology needs to provide significant gains over previous systems to provide an adequate business case for mobile operators to invest in any new system.
